Description
Overview
The Dexcom ONE+ Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System is designed to provide people living with diabetes with real-time glucose readings without the need for routine finger-prick calibration. The system consists of a wearable sensor and transmitter that continuously measure interstitial glucose levels and send data directly to a compatible smartphone device.
Dexcom ONE+ supports improved awareness of glucose trends, allowing users to make informed decisions in collaboration with their healthcare provider. It is suitable for adults and children (age indications should be confirmed per local regulatory approval).
Key Features
- Factory-calibrated CGM system – no routine finger-prick calibration required*
- Real-time glucose readings transmitted to a compatible smartphone
- Customisable alerts for high and low glucose levels
- Designed for people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes using standalone CGM
- Wearable sensor with continuous glucose tracking
- Supports trend analysis to assist in daily diabetes management decisions
Usage Instructions
Apply the sensor to the recommended site as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Once activated via the Dexcom mobile application, the system will begin transmitting glucose readings at regular intervals. Users should follow the guidance provided in the official Dexcom user manual and consult their healthcare provider for interpretation of results.
Precautions
This device measures glucose levels in interstitial fluid, which may lag behind blood glucose readings by approximately 10 minutes. A finger-prick test is recommended when glucose levels are rapidly changing or when symptoms do not match the displayed reading.
The Dexcom ONE+ system is intended for use as an adjunct to, and not a replacement for, clinical decision-making. Always consult a healthcare professional before making treatment changes.
*Calibration requirements and features should be confirmed according to the latest manufacturer guidance.
