Description

The LinX Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGMS) is a real-time glucose monitoring solution for people living with diabetes. It consists of a 15-day subcutaneous sensor and the LinX CGM App (available on iOS and Android) that displays glucose readings every minute. The system detects glucose trends, provides customizable alerts, and helps users identify patterns for improved therapy management.

Note: Please note this important CGM insight: Because all continuous glucose monitoring sensors lag capillary blood glucose readings by about 10 minutes, you must still perform a finger-prick test whenever you have rapidly changing glucose levels or when readings do not match your symptoms.

Usage Instructions

Download the LinX CGM App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Register and log in to your account before inserting a new sensor.

  1. Choose an insertion site (typically the back or outside of the upper arm). Clean the area and allow it to dry completely.
  2. Use the applicator to insert the sensor subcutaneously as per the on-screen guide.
  3. Pair the sensor with your mobile app via Bluetooth and allow for a 1-hour warm-up period.
  4. View real-time glucose readings and trends in the app, and enable alerts for glucose fluctuations.

Precautions

  • The LinX CGMS is intended for adults aged 18 years and above.
  • Remove the sensor before MRI, CT, or diathermy procedures.
  • Do not reuse or modify the sensor or applicator.
  • Perform a fingerstick test whenever sensor readings do not match symptoms or during rapid glucose changes.
  • Avoid insertion on areas with scars, tattoos, or irritation.
  • The LinX CGMS was not evaluated for pregnant women, peritoneal dialysis patients, or users with pacemakers.
  • If the sensor becomes dislodged or causes discomfort, remove and replace it.
