Unlike regular refined cooking oils, the cold pressed high oleic sunflower oil we use in our sauces, is high in omega 9 (monounsaturated fat) and low in omega 6. In fact our sunflower oil has more than 80% good for you – omega 9 fatty acids. High quality extra virgin olive oils have in the region of 70 %-80%.
For a healthier choice is is better to select oils that are cold pressed & low in omega 6’s. The cold pressed high omega 9 oils we use are naturally more stable & therefore the nutrtional intergrity is better maintained in these oils unlike highly refined cooking oils which are chemically treated & exposed to very high temperatures during the refining process.
